Most people often use email in the work especially even more during lockdowns which requested to work from home. We need to learn how to be more polite to avoid any offense or miscommunication. Generally, we take 2~3 hours tin reading, writing or responding to email. Most of us feel offensive or disrespectful on some occasions, mostly from our boss.
An occasionally negative emotions are probably inevitable, it is better to communicate face to face to reduce the conflict, especially delay feedback. As long as the emails reduce "social presence", it can increase the chances of misunderstanding and encourage angry replies.
Do's
1. Review the topic and message before sending
2. Look at the recipient name
3. Add supporting documents
4. Write effective subject lines
5. Choose an appropriate ending
6. Write a short note to let the sender know that email was received.
Dont's
1. Send out inappropriate information or unprofessional
2. Send out to unnecessary recipients
3. Forward email without explaining
4. Express humor or sarcasm
